Lab receives funding for green crab research from NMFS

The Fish and Movement Ecology Lab at UNH received funding via the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). This work, led by the Wells National Estuarine Research Reserve (Dr. Jason Goldstein), works to understand when to optimally harvest invasive green crabs. The Furey lab will be tracking green crab movements to determine when/if aggregations occur for targeting. Excited to work with Jason, Dr. Gabby Bradt (NH Sea Grant), and Dr. Steve Jury (St. Joseph's College). This grant will support a graduate student in our lab; stay tuned for the official announcement.
