"A Fish Story" - PREP State of our Estuaries report and conference

The Piscataqua Region Estuarine Partnership (PREP) recently released their State of our Estuaries report, covering Great Bay and Hampton-Seabrook estuaries in New Hampshire. Dr. Furey assisted in the "migratory fish" section, as well as some of the introductory materials. In particular, the "Fish Story" takes the reader through the watershed from a fish-eye's view, particularly the river herring.

Dr. Furey's perspective on migratory fish also played a prominent role in PREP's 2023 conference in Portsmouth, where he guided the 200+ audience through State of our Estuaries report via the life cycle of river herring, starting from the estuaries' tributaries, to important estuarine habitats, to the coastal Gulf of Maine.
